Short Meetings with GOD

It is only in one moment that God tells us what he wants from us and what we should be doing in life. It can be about love, it can be work, life partner or even your inner soul.  His way of communicating his will to us is slightly different. He never makes decisions for us. He gives us choices and keeps all the options right in front of us, and then makes us feel really good about something that we cannot even comprehend having, ever! That’s when we have to make a choice and select one of the options.

The choice determines and defines our future.

At one moment, you’ll know that this is what you want and you want it from all your heart. Let the moment pass and the feeling will be gone. Then you’ll have a doubt whether that was your imagination or something that God had signaled?

I believe God signals something for a short moment (maybe milliseconds) and the feeling that you get at that moment is strong enough to make you forget all the apprehensions and all the worries but once that moment passes, our brain tries to overshadow the feeling that our heart totally loved. Once the work of brain comes into play, we start thinking. And thinking spoils everything.

The moment we start being logical is the moment our heart stops saying anything. Logic kills love, logic cuts the wings of the heart and then we do what is right, according to the world. This is the moment that we go one step away from our heart and if this continues for a long time, we stop noticing the momentary happiness that our heart feels on seeing something or feeling something. We become far from ourselves.

I believe this is god’s way of communicating his will and there’s where the catch is!

Imagine yourself in yourself, working really hard, trying to hit the targets and so busy that you are not able to notice the pain in your eyes caused by staring at the computer screen for long hours. Just then, the corner of your eyes catch the sight of a butterfly in the garden and you get amazed at the beauty that you see. Dark clouds, greenery, drizzling and the butterfly. You feel like going out. You want to feel free. You want to dance and hold that little creature in your hands. You feel like playing a guitar and wandering in the grasses and to be yourself when you realize you’re in the office. But that feeling is strong. Your heart tells you to go out. The brain starts coming in play and reminds you of the target, the work, the pressure and the pay hike. But your heart whispers silently and tells you that it wants to enjoy life and so you count the days to Saturday. 3. So you tell yourself that you’ll surely go to some hill station this weekend and you make a mental note to ask friends after work. Then you start with your work once again, not letting your eyes wander to the garden this time. It is tough to concentrate but you remind yourself of Saturday and start working.

But the time never comes. The evening brings new worries and new tasks with it and you completely forget what you had promised yourself in the noon.

I believe it is God’s way of reminding us that natural things are to be cherished always and never to be forgotten. It is his way of connecting with us and giving us a moment of pleasure to test our will of following his path. If we sense his signal and do what HE wishes for us to do, we find a great sense of happiness from within and this happiness persuades us and gives us the courage to follow our dreams. Those who follow their heart, live a blissful life. A life that they are content & proud to have! Simply because, they enjoy each and every moment, just the way it comes!
