Loud whispers of the silent souls

Image
The grasses were greener today, The leaves seemed to happier than ever Swaying with the cadence of the wind Dancing to the tune of the breeze The wobbly stems seemed to have found new strength Rejuvenated, re-energized Today they were holding the leaves tighter than ever, not letting them fall!  “I’ll be your strength forever”, said the stem, finally muttering the words that the leaves had waited desperately to hear! What could’ve made them happier..! They smiled and danced with all their might The cool breeze blew faster, whispering to the leaves, “Overwhelmed I am, for having met your vibrant self, Fresh, full of life, you look beautiful today!” “Thank the rains, O’ dear, For it did what the sun, the moon, the earth and the wind couldn’t do; It brought life back in us ”, replied the leaves.

When the relationship between two people gets stabilized, when you’re sure about each other and once that “struggle” part is over, there comes a time when   you get so engrossed in your daily chores that you actually forget to admire the beauty of the other person… the thing that differentiates that someone from others and the quality that made you fall in love with them! I had to do this, I thought right after I completed reading ‘The White Tiger’ by  Aravind   Adiga  yesterday at about 7:30PM.  It is not that the writer or the name of the book was new to me. I guess every Indian, who is into reading or writing, even a little bit of it; has heard about this book at least once in their life. Even those who are not must have heard the name ‘the white tiger’ somewhere or the other.  I am not very fond of reading books that have been awarded the ‘MAN BOOKER PRIZE’. I don’t know the reason why, but I never find such books interesting. So why did I end up reading this book? Because over the last 5 years, I’d heard a lot of praises of the book from people who I trust, in their choice I mean. So there I was, on the 29 th  of March, searching for some good book to
