The Path To Happiness

He paced through the corridors of the hospital, finding his way in the crowds, crossing everyone and not once stopping to see the people around. He had been late, even today and for the first time ever, he was feeling really nervous. He had been thinking about this moment for the past few months and even though he had no role in the whole process, whenever he thought about it, there was a gut that formed somewhere on the inside and made him feel nauseous. He had imagined this moment hundreds of times and he had experienced a mixed feeling: happiness, love, expectation and excitement.

But today was different. It was the day they had both waited for the past 9 months.

His mind was all cluttered. There were a thousand thoughts running in his mind. At this point, all he wanted was to reach by her side. He wanted to be present there. He knew that she was going to bear all the pain, but he knew that if he is by her side, she'll feel protected. Besides, he wanted to be the first one to see what destiny had in store for them!

He finally reached there: The operation theater. He saw all his family members waiting there, with anticipation in their eyes. The door was open, which meant that the procedure had not started yet. He rushed in without any second though. He couldn't wait to see her.

Their eyes met when he went in. She was all covered in sweat but smiled when she saw him. He felt like hugging her tight. The sudden shriek brought him back to where he was physically present. She was in pain, but she was trying hard. After every few minutes, there was a shriek. In his heart, he saluted her for her strength.

After a while, the continuous process of shrieks began. He could see that the pain had brought tears in her eyes but she hadn't stopped. She cried, shrieked, cried, stopped and then again shrieked. It almost felt like the pain was going to take her life. He felt sweat beads forming on his forehead. But the strength that she was showing made him feel stronger.

The noises continued for a long time but she never gave up once. When her shrieks and pain became unbearable to him, he closed his eyes. For there was nothing he could do to help her. He prayed.
He prayed for himself, he prayed for her and for their little one who was yet to enter the world..

That's when he heard a beautiful sound..a wail..a beautiful and soft wail that he instantly knew he would never forget.

He opened his eyes and saw her. She was smiling and crying at the same time.

He then looked at the baby..Oh! She was an angel. He had never seen something so beautiful ever. He felt blessed to have her. N suddenly, he realized that he had forgotten all the things he had just witnessed. The pain, the troubles and the cries. Simply holding her in his arms gave him the feeling of being complete.

That's how life is! Happiness comes only after you've had your share of pain.

There is a meaning hidden in every bad thing that happens to you.

If not, them there is some gift that awaits you at the end of the road.

N when you find it, you'll feel the blessings of God and you'll be able to see the reason why everything happened.

So don't ever be scared of traveling a path that looks tough to you..Remember, it is the less traveled road that is the most beautiful always!

Those who've been through a lot are the one's who know what happiness is!
